AYURVEDIC DESCRIPTION:

Haritaki is regarded as "Pathya" (beneficial for all) and is one of the most important herbs in Ayurveda. It balances all three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—but is especially effective in Vata disorders. It is called "Abhaya" as it removes fear of diseases by detoxifying the system. It is known for its Deepana-Pachana (digestive fire-stimulating), Rasayana (rejuvenating), and Anulomana (bowel-regulating) properties.

CLIMATE & REGION:

Haritaki grows abundantly in India, Nepal, China, and Southeast Asia, particularly in the sub- Himalayan regions, central and southern India. It thrives in moist, tropical, and subtropical forests and is widely cultivated for medicinal use. The best quality Haritaki is found in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal.
