Hingvashtaka Tablets are a powerful Ayurvedic digestive formulation that helps in relieving indigestion, bloating, and abdominal discomfort. This classical preparation is a blend of potent carminative and digestive herbs, including Maricha (Piper nigrum), Pippali (Piper longum), Shunti (Zingiber officinale), Ajamoda (Trachyspermum ammi), Saindhava Lavana (Rock Salt), Jeeraka (Cuminum cyminum), and Hingu (Ferula assa-foetida). It is widely used in Ayurveda to enhance Agni (digestive fire), pacify Vata dosha, and regulate bowel movements, making it beneficial for various gastrointestinal issues.

Each package contains 60 Tablets (1000 mg)

  • Piper nigrum (Marich)
  • Piper longum (Pippali)
  • Zingiber officinale (Sunthi)
  • Apium graveolens (Ajmoda)
  • Rock salt (Saindhava lavana)
  • Cuminum cyminum (Jeerak)
  • Ferula asafoetida (Hingu)

PROPERTIES

  • Rasa : Katu (pungent), Lavana (salty)

  • Guna : Laghu (light), Tikshna (sharp), Ruksha (dry)

  • Veerya : Ushna (hot)

  • Vipaka : Katu (pungent)

  • Prabhava : Enhances digestion, relieves gas and abdominal discomfort.

DOSAGE

1-2 tablets twice daily after meals with warm water or buttermilk, or as directed by a physician. 

CONTRADICTION

  • Not recommended for individuals with hyperacidity, ulcers, or severe gastritis due to its heating nature.
  • Should be used with caution in pregnant and lactating women under medical supervision.
  • Not suitable for people with severe Pitta imbalances, as it can increase internal heat.

Hingu (Ferula assa-foetida) is the most crucial component, acting as a powerful anti-flatulent, reducing bloating, and enhancing digestion.

The herbs in Hingvashtaka Tablets are widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions of India, Sri Lanka, and parts of the Middle East. Maricha and Pippali thrive in humid regions of Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Shunti is cultivated in the fertile lands of West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. Ajamoda grows in dry regions of Rajasthan and Gujarat. Saindhava Lavana is naturally obtained from rock salt mines in Punjab. Jeeraka is primarily grown in Gujarat and Rajasthan, while Hingu is sourced from regions of Afghanistan and Iran. These ingredients are carefully selected and processed to ensure high efficacy in digestion and gut health.
