DESCRIPTION:
Kolakulathadi Powder is a well-known Ayurvedic formulation traditionally used for external application in pain management, fat reduction, and improving circulation. PROPERTIES:
● Rasa: Katu (Pungent), Tikta (Bitter), Kashaya (Astringent)
● Guna: Laghu (Light), Ruksha (Dry)
● Veerya: Ushna (Hot)
● Vipaka: Katu (Pungent)
● Doshaghnata (Effect on Doshas): Balances Vata and Kapha
DOSAGE:
External Use: Used as an Udvartana (herbal powder massage) with warm water or oil for fat reduction. Can also be used in Podi Kizhi therapy for pain relief.
Internal Use: If prescribed by an Ayurvedic physician, 1-3 grams with warm water or honey to support metabolism.
CONTRADICTION:
- Not recommended for people with excessive Pitta conditions like ulcers or gastritis.
- Avoid in extremely dry skin conditions as it has a drying nature.
