- Talispatra (Abies webbiana),
- Amlavetas (Solena amplexicaulis),
- Marich (Piper nigrum),
- Sunthi (Zingiber officinale),
- Jeerak (Cuminum cyminum),
- Saindhav lavan (Rock salt),
- Vida lavan (Ammonium salt),
- Samudra lavan (Sea salt).
PROPERTIES:
● Rasa: Katu (Pungent), Lavana (Salty)
● Guna: Laghu (Light), Ushna (Hot), Tikshna (Sharp)
● Veerya: Ushna (Hot)
● Vipaka: Katu (Pungent)
● Doshaghnata (Effect on Doshas): Balances Vata and Kapha, may increase Pitta if taken in excess
DOSAGE:
Adults: 1-3 grams with lukewarm water or buttermilk after meals
Children: 500 mg to 1 gram with honey or warm water (as per physician’s advice)
CONTRADICTION:
● Not suitable for individuals with high Pitta conditions like ulcers and gastritis
● Avoid in cases of severe hypertension due to the presence of salts
● Not recommended during pregnancy unless prescribed by an Ayurvedic physician
